What essential items are included at Quarry House?
Bathrooms – towels (bath, hand and hot-tub), shower gel, hand wash, hand cream and toilet paper.
Kitchen – tea towels, oven gloves, washing-up (cloths, scourers, liquid), dishwasher tablets, tea/coffee/sugar, coffee filter paper, foil, cling film, salt & pepper.
Utility – washing powder, fabric softener, various cleaning products, lighter fuel refill.
Hot-tub treatment – chlorine tablets/powder, PH +/-, testing sticks.
Are pets welcome at Quarry House?
We welcome up to 3 well-behaved pets for a charge of £25/pet.
We provide a limited supply of treats, poop bags, bowls, balls, blankets and leads.
The grounds are pet friendly with a fully fenced/gated enclosure. Reasonable efforts have been made to secure the fencing/gates, however smaller dogs and those who are climbers or jumpers may still be able to escape the grounds.
Due to its remote location Quarry House is particularly suitable for more anxious dogs who are afraid of loud noises (e.g. fireworks).
Is there access to local walks?
There are many walks accessible directly from Quarry House around Burfa Bank above the house and also to Offa’s Dyke. We have created a map of walks on Burfa Bank.
We also have several OS maps kept in the utility room for use by guests during their stay.
What is check-in/out policy?
Check-in is 5pm. Check-out is 10am. Depending on other bookings we may be able to consider early check-in or late-checkout if requested for an additional fee.
Prior to check-out guests are required to: load/start dishwasher, put towels in utility room, remove all personal items & unused food/drinks, place all rubbish in the correct bins, clean-up after dogs in the garden, turn off lights, lock doors and windows, and return keys to the lockbox.
What is the cancellation policy?
Booking fee of £100 is non-refundable.
For cancellations more than 3 months 100% refund (excl. booking fee).
For cancellations more than 2 months 50% refund (excl. booking fee).
What is the Wi-Fi like?
Quarry House has recently been connected to rural broadband fibre, which provides reliable and high-speed internet.
Wi-Fi operates effectively throughout the property using routers in both the kitchen and the lounge. All TVs are able to stream reliably using in-built or firestick services.
